Best Acne Skincare Products – Acne struggle bus, I feel for all of you who are currently struggling with it, because way back when I was younger I struggled with it too.
That’s why I decided to make this post. And here to help you as much as I possibly can because, girls, we’re about to give you too the glove of the century.
As we go into this post, I do want to say something, there will be a million-one salesperson that will tell you these acne skin care products will solve your breakouts or this one is the best to save your acne etc.
Not anything against them, but no one knows your skin as much as you do, and just because one product works for one person does not mean it’s gonna work for you.
Acne is one of those things where it’s a journey, a process of learning what works and not for your skin.
So consider when you buy something, especially for your skin. Don’t take everything on what people say just because you’re so frustrated or so with your acne. you’re the only one that knows about your body, and so please be considerate with what you choose and use.
SKIN CARE
The perfect skincare routine is a simple one, and you can get rid of your acne and help improve your skin through affordable, effective products. And even though I’m gonna be giving you my top picks in this post.
I do wanna make sure that you’re ready to invest a little bit of time into your skincare routine because things don’t work overnight. It takes time and patience for you to see the result.
This expectation to get everything instantly and overnight is toxic. You need to get rid of this kind of mindset. It is just not a healthy mindset to get everything in quickly.
Note: all of these products here are rounded up based on my experience and deep research about best products that will actually get rid of acne and not the bulsh*t ones.
BEST ACNE SKINCARE PRODUCTS
ACNE SKINCARE PRODUCTS #1 CLEANSER
First off facial cleansers are arguably one of the most important ways of preventing acne but also could be one of the harshest and most damaging parts of a skincare routine if you choose the wrong one.
Cleansing feels nice because after we wash our face, it feels squeaky clean, or so on when you’re struggling with oiliness and acne, that squeaky clean can feel really good.
But it is so important to be aware of this kind of feeling because products that are too overly stripping, which will get rid of your natural’s oil and dry out your skin, can make these cleansing systems give the opposite result.
So, what I recommend you is to get a gentle facial cleanser, a cleanser that’s gonna work to get rid of oil in the sebum but not gonna be too harsh of treatment, that it dries out and strips your skin. So, here are the best cleansers in our line to prevent or get rid of acne.

1. La Roche Posay: Toleraine Purifying Wash
If you have oily skin and you’re on a budget i really recommend this one. This one is awesome because it is very gentle on the skin but works really well to dissolve all the oil and excess sebum without stripping your skin.
2. Youth To The People: Kale + Green Tea Clenser
This is my obsession; every time I use this, my pores look clean, and my skin looks blurred. It is so incredible and cleanses so deeply but never feels like overly stripping my skin. And even its a little bit expensive I highly, highly recommend
3. Simple: Refreshing Facial Wash
if you have dry skin and you’re on a budget, this one is a good gentle cleanser. Never feels like it’s stripping the face but super adorable and works really well.
4. Krave Beauty: Matcha Hydrating Cleanser
Gentle and has amazing ingredients for soothing and hydrating. It has salicylic acid, which is freakin good, an incredible exfoliating ingredient that goes deep into your pores and pushes out all the excess dirt sebum out. Helps to get rid of blackheads, whiteheads, excess oiliness, acne, breakouts, pimples everything.
5. CeraVe: Renewing SA Cleanser
This one is for you that have oily skin. It’s just really effective but very gentle as well. It’s gonna give you that salicylic acid exfoliation that’s not too harsh to sensitize your skin.
6. The Inkey List: Salicylic Acid Cleanser
This one is super good as well, similar to the Cerave one, but I find this one a little bit stronger if you are wanting something more effective, but those both are gentle enough to be effective.
7. Neutrogena: Acne Wash Cream Cleanser
If you have dry skin, this cleanser is great. Formulated with creamy hydrating ingredients. And salicylic acid itself can dry out people with dry skin.. so having it in a cream cleanser formula is the best way to compensate.
Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser
If your skin doesn’t work with salicylic acid, a benzoyl peroxide cleanser is a great choice. It is similarly amazing too, like salicylic acid. It works to treat the same issues but is a little bit more intense and helps people with persistent acne and fine scars.
But the side effect is it is gonna strip and dry your skin, so you need really moisturize your skin whenever you use this one.
1. Penoxyl: 10%Acne Foaming Wash
An affordable and really effective one. Also, it’s a great cleanser with awesome ingredients. You can find it at pretty much every drugstore and recommended by so many dermatologists.
ACNE SKINCARE PRODUCTS #2 NIACINAMIDE
Like salicylic acid, niacinamide is an incredible ingredient, or even better because it treats so many different issues. Not only it is gonna help reduce sebum, and oiliness in your skin but it also work to get rid of sensitivity, redness, and irritation also acne.
It’s gonna brighten acne scars and dark spots on your face. I believe it’s a must-have ingredient in any product for your acne treatment. Now, the best way to get niacinamides is in a serum or essence. And here is what I love and recommend.
1. The Ordinary: Niacinamide Serum
Formulated with Niacinamide 10% and zinc 1% that will effectively reduce oiliness and sebum on the skin. Also, it will soothe the skin and make your acne not really that painful.
2. The Inkey List : Niacinamide Serum
If you have dry skin, I highly recommend this one. Similar to The Ordinary, but has moisturizing and hydrating ingredients that gonna help your condition and soften your skin.
3. Naturium : Niacinamide 12% Serum
This one is for oily skin. So great and soaks the skin quickly, feels very lightweight and not heavy at all, also doesn’t leave behind a tacky stickiness that is sometimes nice.
4. COSRX Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence
Formulated with 95% galactomyces ferments filtrate, an amazing ingredient to hydrate, brightens, and smooths the skin at once. It also contains hyaluronic acids, a hydrated ingredient that will draw in moisture into your skin.
This essence is very lightweight and absorbed quickly into the skin- making it suitable for your oily and acne skin.
5. iUNIK – Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum
This Korean skincare product is not only formulated with niacinamide to calm your skin and reduce oiliness but this main serum is formulated with 70% propolis, a natural’s ingredient that has anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties~ which make it really beneficial if you got the breakouts.
ACNE SKINCARE PRODUCTS #3 Treatment
Now we go to treatment products.
Every skin care has a cleanser, a treatment, a moisturizer, and a sunscreen treatment.
Treatment is a critical part of taking care of acne and breakouts. Because it is the products that are gonna give you really good long-term results and help prevent the issues. And treatments are usually found in like solutions, serums, exfoliating products, and masks and the top one that I have to recommend for treatment is
1. Paula’s Choice: 2% BHA Liquid
This one is an incredible formula. And I think the only product I’ve ever used where my pores physically looked smaller after using. Which is the fact pores cannot change size. It’s perfect for using like 3 times a week to really treat those acne breakouts.
2. iUnik :Tea Tree Relief Serum
This one is a Korean skincare product; it really amazingly helps reduce redness and irritation while also treating breakouts. And it’s extremely lightweight, which is really nice because it is able to soak into your skin quickly and not feel heavy layer over the top. If you have oily or combination skin, I don’t think this one is good.
3. THE Ordinary Peeling Solution
It’s really great exfoliator, and the scrub is not really that hard, which gonna scratch your acne if you get the breakouts. It’s packed with 3% AHA and 2%BHA.
4. Supercalm Skin Relief Serum
It’s not niacinamide serum, but it does really great serum to calm and soothe your skin, especially during the breakout s session.
5. OLENHENRIKSEN Face Mask
This does me wonders, So it is a cold plunge-poor mask that detoxifies, lessens the appearance of pores reduces face oil without overly stripping, of course.
ACNE SKINCARE PRODUCTS #4 Spot Treatments
1. Clinique Acne Clearing Solutions Gel
When you see the price, it might seem a little bit pricy, but without fail, this one always gets rid of my pimples. I’m a big fan of it; it’s effective and worth the money.
2. CosRX: Acne Master Pimple Patches
If you have a lot of big juicy whiteheads, oily breakouts, or pimples, I highly recommend using this one. They’re amazing because they put a seal over the top of the pimples that helps you to prevent bacteria from getting in, and it has a water binding agent over the top that helps to draw all the oil from inside your pimple into it. It will dramatically reduce the size of your pimple.
Pick a few of these products, introduce them slowly into your skincare routine, and if they don’t work, you have other options. You can turn to another product to help you get rid of your acne as soon as possible.
